I love how he puts quotations around “Tom,” as if he isn’t really a Tom.

I’m not sure I follow the whole story entirely- so he’s upset that he was profiled at a dealership, and upset that his story was on here?

Which Tom is Best Tom?

I don’t get the hubbub about all of this. Is a dealer going to treat everybody the same - of course not. If you do then you don’t sell anything for a living. Are there a bunch of techniques a buyer can do to get a better experience for everybody involved - absolutely. The sales person is there to sell cars and not get their merch bashed up be it a high end Porsche or a Kia.

I offered “Tom” the author to reach out to me and ask any questions he likes, but he refused to approve any of my Jalopnik comments on his article.
Whoa whoa whoa that’s not snubbing, that’s Kinja. Everybody’s “pending approval” by default, and there’s no moderator to sift through them all and approve users on a daily basis. The only ones capable of doing that are the blog authors, and they’ve got better things to do than read through one article’s 600 comments and evaluate every new commenter for approval.
